At 1:11pm AEST today, the last of the nineteen categories for the 2023 Trekzone Fan Film Awards had its winner decided.

I can’t tell you how everything is going to go, all I can tell you is that a lot of thinking was done, the winners were chosen to the best of our ability and that is that.

Hopefully there will be no dramatics like withdrawals to affect the choices, if there are any sudden withdrawals then we just go back to the remaining three or so choices, I say ‘or so’ because you never know what could be thrown our way but there’s always a plan behind the plan, plenty of letters left in the alphabet.

Will people be 100% satisfied with our choices? Probably not but that happens every year at the Oscars and the Grammy Awards, people always come back the next year to do it all over again.

So, what happens now is that my job is pretty much done, Matt Miller now has just under four weeks to whip into shape the best awards show that he can do, I may get called upon to go through the show order or see if we missed something, but no agonizing stuff is left to do.
