Welcome to the last MTM Wrap for October 2023.

There are 64 days to go before Trekzone and MTM release the ‘Best of 2023’ list, the days are going by rather quickly but that is good news because it is always exciting to have some fun and it is hard to keep a lid on it for so long.

It has been a fairly quiet week in the fan film world, at least when it comes to the fan film makers that MTM likes to pay attention to but there is some good news this week.

Chris Lea has released a new trailer, it is called ‘Indiana’, you got to love the amount of fan films that Chris releases and they all offer something new, Chris has gone pretty deep into Star Trek history to make this one and it will be quite interesting to see the full show.

‘Wardens of Time’ has passed 2,500 views for those who are interested in the film’s progress, it has passed ‘The Day The Federation Stood Still‘ and that particular fan film recently passed 2,000 views.

‘Prime Directive’ is now 210 views away from the 10,000 milestone, it is difficult to predict when it will reach five figures, but it should be before the year is out which would be cool to celebrate as the end of the year of course is festive and one more reason is always good.

Earlier this week, I thought about and wrote about my fan films from the 00’s, it was nice to dig them back up and it got me thinking about my version of Axanar and also one about a ship whose duties are so routine, they experience nothing like an Enterprise, a Voyager or a Defiant experience on their voyages, will they be turned into a fan film? anything is possible, the technology is out there, mastering it is the challenge.

One of the weirdest things going on in the fan film world at the moment is the interest in people’s occupations, here is an example, the fella in charge of future fan film Axanar regularly compared the occupation of Axanar’s fans with those who are members of AxaMonitor and it appears that interest in occupations still remain among Axanar’s fans.

Unless an occupation is something that is a danger to other people, who cares about it, going on about occupations is just to get people riled up and drag them away from other topics and it seems to work every time.

That’s the news and views for this week, another week is in the books, I look forward to seeing you next week to kick off MTM Wrap in November.

Until next time, be good to each other.
