There are 15 days to go until MTM and Trekzone release the ‘Best of 2023’ list, it is a best of list according to us, it is not the definitive fan film list, you can make your own list and if anybody has a problem with the ‘Best of 2023’ list, that’s their problem.

It was a little wild earlier in the week when Jonathan Lane came calling in the comments section of the last MTM Wrap edition to promote a fan film that MTM didn’t want to touch, Jonathan went from talking to me to having a lot of anger towards Matt and forgetting about me.

The latest edition of ‘The Trekzone Breakdown’ also covers what is mentioned above as well as other events like the Chris Lea teasers, the latest at Potemkin Pictures and more, check it out.

The review for ‘Honor and Treachery’ is now available at Chuck’s Star Trek Fan Film Reviews, there’s around 60 fan films to check out there.

10am AEST tomorrow (Sunday December 17 in Queensland, Australia) will be the release of ‘Can’t Stop’ and Trekzone and Radek from FSFilm will be releasing a chat as well so look out for both releases.

Speaking of FSFilm, Radek helped former Axanar director Paul Jenkins out with a $350 donation as the Alec Peters and Paul Jenkins legal battle continues on, the asked for trial is now happening in 2024 assuming that all the lengthy and costly legal chicanery ends, and the trial begins.

The legal system seems to be one of financial strength, if you got the money or if you suckered a lawyer into helping you for a reduced or free rate, you can drag the opposition through motion after motion and delay after delay, rack up their costs and then go to them with a big smile to dictate terms of a settlement leaving the cash strained no choice but to capitulate.

Congratulations to Matthew Lee Blackburn and his cast and crew for ‘Unfinished Business’ passing 1,000 views.

That’s the news for this week, it should be a more normal week for us here at MTM.

Until next time, be good to each other.
