Eight days to go until the Best of 2023 list comes out, two days to go until Christmas is here, so much to look forward to but first here is the news of the week.

We’re two days away from Christmas and to get us all in the Christmas mood, Potemkin Pictures have provided the world with their new fan film ‘O Tannenbaum’, this fan film was directed by Kevin Palm, edited by Randall Landers and produced by the Starship Caliborn Creative Group.

There was good news for Potemkin Pictures this week, as Trekzone reported this week, their fan film ‘Prime Directive’ reached the 10,000-view milestone, ‘Spirit in the Star’ is currently projected to be the next one to reach it.

Can’t Stop launched last Sunday and it quickly became a success with the fan film now being FSFilm’s third most watched fan film, they even made the lifestyle section of the The Ritz Herald, it is very rare that a Star Trek fan film makes the newspapers and for the right reasons.

We have another new fan film for you Star Trek Unity: Empires At War, this fan film runs for 34 minutes and is filmed, directed and edited by Luke Sutton.

A new fan film was announced this week, it is called ‘Axanar!’ and will be made by Emmett Plant, MTM is not sure what to make of this one as the talk is quite confusing, but we shall see what happens from it.

The Paul Jenkins fundraiser has now raised $17,000 and is approaching the halfway mark of the end goal which is $40,000, Matt Miller interviewed Dean Newbury who is the one who launched the campaign.

That’s the news for this week, there will be no MTM Wrap next week as the ‘Best of 2023’ list will be taking its place, it is a very exciting time and cannot wait to publish the list for you and for Trekzone to do a podcast on it.
