We are 172 days away from the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards, the fun is even closer as there are events like the cutoff for eligible fan films and nomination picking and then picking the winners to come before the big day, it is always an exciting process.

We have good news today, our written version of the ‘Best of 2023 List’ reached 100 reads, it was sitting on 99 reads for a while before somebody from Czechia put it into triple figures.

The visual version presented by Matt Miller has 227 views and so we consider the ‘Best of 2023 List’ to be a great success and are look forward to putting together the ‘Best of 2024 List’ in December.

Trekzone released an edition of ‘The Trekzone Breakdown’ on the 16th of this month, get all your news and Trekzone’s views in just under three minutes.

‘Can’t Stop’ has sung and danced its way to 30,000 views and it is expected to keep on going from there.

‘Can’t Stop’ is 12 Thumbs Up away from recording its 1000th Thumbs Up, hopefully we’ll see it there sooner rather than later.

Sitting just 510 views away from 80,000 YouTube views is ‘The Void’ while ‘Spirit in the Star‘ is just 297 views away from joining thirty-two Potemkin Pictures fan films that have 10,000 views or more.

‘Dream Time’ has passed ‘Third Watch’ to become the 30th most watched Potemkin Pictures fan film.

Emmett Plant’s fan film ‘Axanar!‘ got pounced on by one very eager fella when Emmett earlier announced that the fan film got a ‘trademark grant’ and it was taken to be trademarking a fan film, the reality is that Emmett merely got permission (aka trademark grant) to use a logo belonging to a company in the fan film, it is always possible that you could use a logo in a fan film or in merchandise without permission and end up in legal trouble so it is best to ask for the ok.

Congratulations go out to ‘Axanar!’ for the group reaching 100 members.

Fighting regarding Axanar continues on with post totals climbing rapidly, Axanar now has an ‘Axanar Legal Watch’ section on their website’ and the Paul Jenkins fundraiser has passed $22,000 and the page has a video back up again, we’re still weeks away from the resumption of court cases but it appears that no powder is being kept dry with both sides opening and returning fire on a daily basis.

That’s the news for this week, another big week and we look forward to being here next week with more news for you.

Until next time, be good to each other.
