There are now 158 days to go until the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards will be held.
The prize packs for the 2023 awards were sent out earlier this week, apologies for the delays, life can sometimes get very hectic and so we may need to make some adjustments to the planning of the 2024 awards before Matt’s services get needed to cover sporting events.
‘Artifacts’ was released on YouTube by Potemkin Pictures earlier this week, this new adventure sees the return of the USS Webster and its crew.
‘Artifacts’ was written by Werner Louderback and was directed by Chelsey L. Boston, Kenneth Hughes, Randall Landers, and Clinton Riddle.
‘Artifacts’ has had a strong opening with almost 1,500 views recorded on YouTube meanwhile ‘Dream Time’ is now the 28th most watched Potemkin Pictures fan film, it has moved up two positions since our last check.
‘Indiana’ has had a good opening week with 26,000+ views recorded, that Indiana sure is a beautiful ship, hopefully we get to see more of it in the future.
‘Can’t Stop’ is closing in on 35,000 views, it looked like the views were slowing down before it went back to normal levels which is good to see as it marches its way to 50,000 views.
Here is an interesting YouTube channel, AJ Fisher Design and the above is one of AJ Fisher’s creations, the USS Vortex, it is a Sparrow class starship, and it looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of it in the future, the video is really informative on what is where on the ship.
Take a look at the efforts of Mr Trek, he is going to be building a model of the entire ship, it is going to be 1:25 scale and the videos are really detailed, one example is Mr. Trek showing people how places like engineering was put together piece by piece.
The legal system is loving people from the fan film world at the moment with Alec Peters, Paul Jenkins and Vic Mignogna all helping to keep lawyers busy and busy lawyers mean fatter wallets, Vic has to pay up $376,592.93 to those he sued.
One fan of Vic’s stated on Trekzone ‘according to people on twitter, Vic said on Gmail that’s it’s all fake and he ain’t paying anything‘, that statement kind of reminds me of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Alec Peters and Paul Jenkins are expected to move a step closer to their trial this month barring any further delays and Paramount is hoping that a judge sign off on a decision against Alec Peters that is worth a couple of hundred thousand dollars.
That wraps up this edition of MTM Wrap, an action-packed week for all, looking forward to being here next week with a new edition of MTM Wrap.
Until next time, be good to each other.
