There are now 100 days to go until the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here.

It is only appropriate to put up a gif that has fireworks in it because big events love the 100 days to go milestone, for them it is when things start getting real though for us, they started getting real 265 days ago.

On April 10, the eligibility window closes and the work on selecting nominations begins, I can tell you that it will be agonising work because there’s so many fan films that are loved but there few spaces to nominate and naturally even fewer to win.

Some fan films will get plenty of awards, some will get a few, some will get none at all, there is no certainty in awards shows, take the Oscars for example, every year somebody will tell you that a movie got robbed but that’s how it goes, there is always some element that will put a surprise film over the top of some of the fancied runners.

Stay tuned over the next 100 days as there is plenty left to play out until the big day, and you’ll see the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards take shape bit by bit, enjoy the ride.
