We’re a day away from closing the nomination process for the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards, I’ve got one nomination left to go, then I got to tally up the YouTube numbers for the fan films on my list and my job is almost completely done.

There is a bit of fan interaction this year, our list will be put into a poll in the MTM group, and everybody will have the chance to pick what they think is the most popular fan film in the lot and people can lobby others all they like about it because there is nothing to hide.

Matt will have two months to get the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards in great looking condition, he is in demand to help provide coverage of the 2024 Australian Football League season and other media requirements, so the time allows him to do the hobby that is fan film reporting and awarding as well as doing his jobs without the need to stress or panic.

Hopefully we don’t get any letters or blog entries about us this year, turds were hitting the fan at this stage of proceedings last year but thankfully there are no turds flying around this year and if there are issues then personally, I’ll tune them out and get on with the task at hand.

A reminder that there are no entry fees, firstly we picked the nominations and winners so it would be rude to ask for money, it is also against our philosophy to ask but if you do feel like throwing some cash around, give some to somebody down the street who needs a meal for themselves or their family or needs new clothing or anything to make their day better.

We also don’t want to be reimbursed for site hosting or buying any awards or the Tim Tams or the Vegemite either, keep or give away (not to us) your money, we’re happy spending our own.

All we need is the ok to be a nominated choice and we can go on from there, anybody who isn’t interested can pass and alternates will be asked for their participation.

After the awards, we carry on with MTM Wrap and then work starts on The Best of 2024 List which will be different to the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards as there are no prizes and 2023 made fan films will not be winners so there will be more joy to spread around.
