There are 53 days to go until the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, coming up today will be the latest status report on the awards, there is plenty to discuss in that edition.

It has been a good week for new fan films, released just today is Chris Lea’s new fan film ‘Leo’ and there is no doubt that this fan film will be doing great business.

New from Star Trek: Morningstar is ‘Joint Action’, this new fan film runs for just over eight minutes, and it also features the USS Venture, the ship that stars in ‘The Battle of Midnight‘.

Also new for your viewing pleasure is the latest fan film from FSFilm, this new fan film is titled ‘The Third Option’ and runs for just over 10 minutes so if there is a 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards it will go into consideration for ‘Best Fan Film’ as that category is for fan films with a running time of over 10 minutes.

‘Sleeping Dragon’ has received just over 4,400 views since its release a week ago, another solid run by the fine folks at Potemkin Pictures meanwhile ‘Where Monsters Dwell‘ is now just 94 views away from the 5,000-view milestone.

‘Monster’ has reached the 20,000-view mark and continues to be watched at a solid rate which the Loreley team deserves.

Don’t forget fan film makers that all 2024 Fan Film releases get considered for the ‘Best of 2024 List’ that is released on December 31st.

There is finally movement regarding the battle between Axanar and Paul Jenkins, after months of nothing ‘Notice of Pretrial Conference and Scheduling Order’ was filed on Peachcourt on May 13, this case started on August 14, 2020.
