There are now 32 days to go until The 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here.

Fan Films over the last couple of days have been asked if they will accept being nominated for awards, this will continue over the weekend and on the 10th the nominations get announced.

Then it is a one-month sprint to the finish line, winners to be selected, prizes to be mailed out, the awards show to be prepared, a reminder that there are no fees, fan films cannot make money therefore we believe that we cannot make money from the awards or be reimbursed by fan films, it just wouldn’t be fair.

We will be doing blog entries on every category so if you love reading MTM, you will have plenty to read about over the next month.

Star Trek Deception III was released this week, this nice looking fifteen-minute fan film is doing well with over a thousand views just short of a day online, so give the crew of the USS Longshanks a try today and consider giving them a like on Facebook.

‘Of Love and Honour’ is a fan film that is going to be released, this one is made by Italians, and it is good that we are seeing films by people from around the world, the above is the Italian version of the trailer but you can watch the English version here, their Facebook page is here if you like to visit them and give your support.

Do give ‘The Third Option’ a try, it is a good fan film with a good story, and it does deserve to get over 1,000 views so if you have just over ten minutes of spare time and looking for a fan film to check out, spend it on this fan film.
