There are 25 days to go until The 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, time is going by so quickly but that’s always a good thing.

This week was a big week for us as we announced the nominees for the awards, reaction to them has been good which is good and view total has been fantastic with just over 250 views received, very happy with that total.

Now comes the challenge of deciding winners of each category and the preparation of the three main awards, any surprises we have up our sleeves and the show which we’re working hard on getting as close to perfection as possible.

We also launched the ‘Most Popular Fan Film’ poll this week and we’ve had a great response to it with 170 votes cast at this time.

‘Fighting Chance: Roaring Thunder’ is leading with 34% of the votes followed by ‘Empyrean’ with 17% of the vote and ‘Can’t Stop’ with 15% of the vote, voting continues until July 10 so there’s plenty of time to vote and any of the 32 fan films can win.

Anybody can vote on this award; we know that people who don’t even like us or Trekzone are voting so we must be doing something right, at least we hope so, we hope that people are picking based on their preference and not trying to play a joke on us or any particular fan film.

Now to check up on some of the fan films

‘Can’t Stop’ is making its way to 50,000 YouTube views, it currently has 47,295 views at this time of writing, we most certainly hope that it will get to 50,000 sooner rather than later.

‘Dream Time’ is up to 16,002 views at the time of writing, it sits twelfth on Potemkin Pictures all-time list of most watched fan films and is a couple of hundred views away from taking the eleventh spot.

‘The Legacy of the Archein’ has reached the 20,000-view milestone which is great to see, ‘The Legacy of the Archein’ is polling quite well at the moment too.
