Today, September 8 is Star Trek Day and to celebrate, we’re going to go through a selection of 2024 released fan films and hopefully you’ll check out many if not all of them.

Night Shift was released just a couple of days ago, this one features the crew of the Starship Tristan, and we see the return of I.N.S. Reporters, the kind that were swarming the bridge of the USS Enterprise-B.

Star Trek Deception III as you can see by the total is the third entry in the popular series of fan films.

The Polyphemus Program launched another chapter of the Potemkin Pictures story, it started off with a bang with over 8,000 views at this present time.

Periphery has been a hit for Potemkin Pictures, it is closing in on 20,000 views and it is ninth on Potemkin Pictures’ most watched fan films list.

‘Sleeping Dragon’ sees the Starship Deimos crew in action

‘Artifacts’ sees the crew of the Starship Webster back in action, this one is an interesting one as it carries on from an after credits scene in ‘Exiled from Eternity‘ so be sure to watch that fan film first.

We were treated to some Star Trek: Venture action this year with ‘The Battle of Midnight’.

Star Trek: Morningstar sees the crew of the Carter team up with the crew of the Venture to answer a distress call from a freighter.

Star Trek: Endeavour is a fan film that many will say shows the benefits of the fan film guidelines, people getting to have a go at making a fan film on what is a more even playing field.

Chris Lea’s productions are unique that it isn’t unusual to see ships that we don’t usually see in fan films and maybe only cameos on TV.

Another of Chris Lea’s productions, Deep Space K-7 was only recently released for our enjoyment.

‘The Black Mountain’ introduced Star Trek: Deimos to fans and it also features some familiar faces as well.

‘The Legacy of the Archein’ won Best Fan Film at The 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards, it has a great storyline and great uses of technology, check it out.

Formication is a Caliborn adventure that has a little bit of ickiness in it, it has a story within a story, so you get two stories for the price of one.

‘The Third Option’ was FSFilm’s next fan film after the success of ‘Can’t Stop’, it has over 1,500 views and tells a great story if you haven’t gotten around to checking it out.

‘The Human Condition’ gone the original series route to tell a story, and they did it pretty well.

Defenders of the Federation is another masterpiece from Jeff Nord, it captures the 70s Sci-Fi style before Star Wars came along and changed the rules of the game.

While it was not released this year, Starfleet Legends Act I got the ‘Editors Cut’ treatment and that was released this year, Starfleet Legends Act III is scheduled for released on September 15.

That wraps up Star Trek Day – Fan Film Style for 2024, we hope you have enjoyed this new idea, and we look forward to showing another selection of fan films next year.
