45 days to go until The Best of 2024 List is released and the year is really going by quickly, looking forward to 2025 though, The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards is going to be fun no matter which way, shape or form it will be in.

We hit a little snag last week, Facebook wouldn’t allow us to post MTM Wrap so people who weren’t subscribed didn’t know it was around as they usually click on the posted link, readers may have to subscribe or come to this website and read this and future editions.

Hopefully it is just a Facebook issue and not somebody getting paranoid at the thought of us existing, though it would be pretty amusing if somebody thinks we’re a threat to some fan film thing out there.

Meanwhile we’ve had a lot of visitors from Germany this week, hopefully they liked what they saw.

Ring and Raven released ‘Per Aspera’ on November 12 and it has become a quick success with over 13,500 views recorded for the fan film and over 800 Thumbs Up ratings.

L-374 III has had a good start on YouTube with just over 3,500 views in eight days of being online.

While doing a check on fan film numbers, Renegades and Of Gods and Men have reappeared so that means that To Boldly Go – Part 1 and World Enough and Time have been bumped out of the Top 10.

Rob Betz’s latest video involves the Galileo, interestingly enough it was announced that the real prop is going to reside at the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour, a question raised about the Galileo is with all the overhauling it has received, it is really the Galileo or a majority new construct?

AXANAR: HEROES has popped back up again, and the twenty-two takes story is back in circulation, the 22 takes have been questioned as one fan film director/producer etc. believed that the 22 takes were broken up among camera angle takes while those around at the time are adamant that the 22 takes were for the one shot.

The whole thing reminds me ‘That Thing You Do!’ and Jimmy pleading with Uncle Bob to let The Oneders before they were The Wonders do the B side and insisting that he could do it in one take, you can also imagine Dirty Harry and paraphrase ‘was it six shots or only five?’ to ‘was it twenty-two takes or only five?’, both are great movies.

That’s the news and views for the week, hopefully regular service resumes on Facebook and everybody has a good time reading and sharing and all the rest.

Until next time, be good to each other.
