81 days to go until The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, we’re almost out of the eighties which is pretty cool.
We are just inching our way towards the big day, which is always an exciting day really, you work yourself into a frenzy for something like Christmas, Easter or a Birthday as a kid and then the big day comes and after the moment, you slump down, rest content and then start working up a frenzy for the next big moment.
The eligibility period for fan films closes on May 10 so there’s still a chance that we’ll see some fan films be launched before that date and then it is time to go through the lists and get to work.
It looks like it has been quite a busy week at Potemkin Pictures; they’ve been building a brig for the Starship Deimos cast and crew to use and it is a redress of Sickbay too plus they had ten things to do with the Bridge and one for the Transporter room.
One of the unintended benefits of feeling unwell last night and delaying this edition was that I woke up this morning to news that the third unit shots for ‘Polarization’ was completed and the brig was used, very interesting.
You got to love the amount of work they do over there at Potemkin Pictures, they just get it done, quickly, efficiently and safely and this is partly why they have been the Best Production House these last few years, there is no harder working production house in fan films.
Let’s see how some of the latest videos by fan film creators are doing
The teaser for ‘Constitution’ is up to 810 views at this present time, if you haven’t seen this Teaser yet, give it a go, it will only take a minute and forty-seven seconds to do so, it is a most interesting teaser to watch.
‘Raiders of the Lost Trek’ is inching towards 10,000 views; it is 425 views away so hopefully readers you will give it a go and push it closer to those five figures as it is really an interesting fan film, a mix of two powerhouse Paramount Pictures franchises.
‘The Third Option’ is up to 2,821 views and will be celebrating its first birthday on May 12, hopefully the video will reach the 3,000-view milestone in time for its birthday.
That wraps up this edition of MTM Wrap, another fine week in the world of fan films.
Until next time, be good to each other.
