68 days to go until The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, the first quarter of the 100-day countdown has gone by so quickly.
There is only one week to go before entries close (May 10) for the awards then it comes down to a month of lots of thinking in the nomination process and then on June 10, the nominations get announced.
There were a couple of fan films released in the last couple of weeks so that is great news for everybody, let’s take a look at them.
From the Hospital Ship Marie Curie Creative Group and released by Potemkin Pictures is ‘Recess’, an eight minute and forty-eight second adventure now available for your enjoyment.
Randall Landers said ‘This was a fun project shot at a convention with a bunch of cosplayers and fans. Total production took 24 days! Whew!’
‘Recess’ has had just over 1,400 views since its release on April 29.
‘Homeland’ is a Lego fan film, and you got to love these sorts of fan films, ones that are made differently to what we’re so used to seeing and this one has a running time of just over eleven minutes
Coming up by Nature’s Hunger is ‘Captain Simian’s First Command’ and we get to look at a trailer, there’s Klingons, there are Romulans and an there’s an Ape in Command, it is going to be very interesting.
Here is a triple shot of Rob Betz’s work, two different Enterprise’s the first is a new take on the Enterprise-A, the second video is a design update and then you got the XCV-330 in action, two great videos for you to look at.
