There are 57 days to go until The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, and the nominations categories are being cautiously filled in and will be done in time for Matt to do the announcing on June 10.
It is going to be a packed field in the Most Popular Fan Film poll, plenty of choices will be available to you and it is going to be interesting to see what people come up with in terms of voting, last year was a thrilling two-fan film battle that was only decided in the last hour of polling.
A week after The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards is the third season premiere of Strange New Worlds, it is great that we’re getting this season though I wish that we didn’t have to wait this long between seasons, the gap is so long that you can almost forget the show existed and need a refresher to remember what happened last.
The seventh chapter of Star Trek Defiant is out now for your enjoyment, this animated chapter of fan films runs for twenty and a half minutes so sit back, relax and use this fan film for your early Saturday night entertainment or perhaps it is the perfect film to watch while having dinner.
New from Spacegate Station is the trailer for ‘Flight of the Pegasus’, it looks like the fan film will be released on the 30th.
Farragut Forward’s fundraiser is up to 32% complete with five days remaining ($4,945 USD), this campaign has done better than the previous one (it raised $4,290 USD), $9,235 USD from two tries is a good fundraising total, the reality is that for most fan films, the days of coming close to the fundraising maximum is over.
Rob Betz continues to release videos at a nice pace, this time showing the Galileo if Star Trek was done Steampunk style, Rob certainly does have a lot of creativity which is good to see.

‘Recess’ is up to 3,100+ views since its release on April 29, it is good to see that this production by the Hospital Ship Marie Curie Creative Group is doing well, and we look forward to the next adventure.
‘Raiders of the Lost Trek’ is making its way to 10,000 views, it is currently up to 9,643 views, if you got Indiana Jones fans, do show this fan film that combines two great Paramount Pictures franchises, all in the space of eleven minutes.

As reported earlier, Paramount Pictures Corporation and CBS Studios Inc. knocked down Axanar’s premiere video of Daedalus, it is still on in other locations but it is not on Axanar’s channel with the 116,000 subscribers.
