33 days to go until The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, what an exciting time it is, and we’ll tell you all about it below because we have important news to share with you.

Coming up on June 10 is the announcement of the nominees for The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards, thirteen categories will be announced, fifty-two nominees in total and we launch the ‘Most Popular Fan Film’ poll.

Every nominee deserves their place, I am really proud of the nominees and really proud of those who have made fan films for us to consider, everybody has done so well and that’s one reason the ‘Most Popular Fan Film’ category exists, everybody we considered is up on the stage for the people to decide who is best for whatever reason they make the vote on.

Anything can happen in ‘Most Popular Fan Film’, the most watched Fan Film may get it, the least watched one may get it, a fan film not in English may get it, it could be a fifty-minute epic or a five-minute fan film, the possibilities are exciting.

We will have all the voting details for you on June 10.

The big one is on July 10, are we excited about these awards? oh yes, we are and we’re so excited about it that we wish that it was happening tomorrow; we are that raring to go.

The awards will be longer in length than last year, but it will not be the big epic of our first awards show, as much as the first awards show is fondly remembered, nobody wants an awards show to go as long as the Academy Awards.

Most importantly both the nominations announcement and The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are ‘live and free’ that phrase for those not from Australia means that there is no paywall or subscription service to worry about, it will be there on YouTube for you to enjoy, anytime.

There’s a big battle between TV networks and streaming services for sports in Australia and TV networks are keen to point out that when they are airing an event, a person can watch it free as it is happening and not pay $25 a month for a sports streaming service.

That’s everything, everything feels good this year and we’re going to have some fun on June 10 and July 10.
