12 days to go until The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, time has certainly flown by but that’s good because the anticipation rises as we get closer and closer.

The Winner’s List is being reviewed one last time before finalization, it is like the NFL Draft when you got four great players in mind for your draft pick, and you go back and forth through the videos of each player to look for something that sets one player apart from the other three, luckily for us, our selection while serious is for fun while the NFL drafters risk millions of dollars on whoever they pick.

It is another year, another exciting Most Popular Fan Film poll, ‘Starfleet Legends Act III’ got a great start and had a big lead and then ‘Sweet Oblivion’ reeled them in and got themselves a sizable margin on Starfleet Legends Act III and then Starfleet Legends Act III started to reel Sweet Oblivion in though the latter still leads it at this time of writing but it is real close.

Over 300 votes have been cast so far, 18 of the 54 fan films have at least one vote which is good to see, and anybody can put a vote in, all you got to do is go here and put your vote in, no need to join anything and you can share with cast and crew, family and friends.

Let’s take a look at the leading four fan films.

Leader of the pack is ‘Sweet Oblivion’, FSFilm have a lot of supporters, that was proven last year in their dramatic win in last year’s poll with ‘Can’t Stop’ and now they are a chance of going back-to-back, the fan film runs for 10 minutes and has 2,600+ views on YouTube.

Right behind is the supersized fan film ‘Starfleet Legends Act III’, there really is a lot of Starfleet legends in this one and there is even a Garth in there too, this fan film runs for forty-eight minutes and has 5,400+ views on YouTube.

In third and flying the flag for Potemkin Pictures is ‘Assault on Pax 12’, this fan film runs for just under twenty minutes and has 12,000+ views on YouTube, there is plenty of action packed into this one.

Grabbing a share of fourth position is Farragut Forward, they are currently in a tie with Sleeping Dragon and A New Beginning, Farragut Forward has 160,000+ views on YouTube and runs for 51 minutes.

In recently announced news, Farragut now has a Universe joining the likes of Axanar and Avalon that have one too.

There’s one more MTM Wrap before the awards and it is going to be interesting to see what happens over the next seven days, it has been a fun ride this year and hopefully it continues that way all the way to the end.
