There are 356 days to go until The 2026 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, there are 51 days to go until Star Trek Day (September 8) and there are 165 until we publish Trekzone and MTM’s Best of 2025 List.

We are still over the moon about how The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards went, our 2025 recap has passed the total of the 2024 recap, and the awards show has done pretty good and while it hasn’t passed 2024’s total, its close enough especially.

Now available at ‘Trekzone Media Clips‘ is The 2025 Trekzone Fan Film Awards broken up into individual awards, so if nominated/winning fan films want people to just watch their section, they can.

New from Adam Schwartz is ‘When You’re not a Main Character on a Starship’, it is just one minute and seventeen seconds long, perfect for those who have two minutes to spare.

Now let’s check in on how some fan films are going

‘The Signal’ from Potemkin Pictures has been heard loud and clear across the internet with the fan film receiving just over 4,300 views on YouTube in under nine days.

The latest from ‘Starship Edsel’ is called ‘Refrain’ and it currently has 70 views on YouTube since its release on June 22.

The 29th episode of Starship Antyllus is titled ‘Encounter with Eternity’ and it has 826 views since its release on July 4.

Axanar! (not the infamous Axanar) now has its own YouTube channel, it only has one short video, but we look forward to seeing what happens in the future especially since it uses puppets.

That’s it for the news and views for this week.

Until next time, be good to each other.
