There are 341 days to go until The 2026 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here, there are 36 days to go until Star Trek Day (September 8) and there are 151 days to go until we publish Trekzone and MTM’s Best of 2025 List.

A Game of Cat & Mouse: Part I was released yesterday on YouTube, this fan film part runs for under two minutes and the name matches the action on the screen, the visuals are fantastic on this one.

Here is an audio production for you from Star Trek Deimos, it is called ‘The Forbidden Planet’ and it runs for eleven minutes, ‘The Forbidden Planet’ stars Sue Rhodes as Captain Rion Harte, Lucy Smith as Commander Caitlyn Reade, Lucy Spencer as Lieutenant Pirra and Matthew Mills plays the role of Lieutenant Quentin Dempsey.

Jed T. E. Rhodes appears as Captain Jackson Carver, and Terry Gold makes an appearance as The Keeper.

Axanar! has been busy over the last couple of days with those interested getting four posts since August 1, it looks like Axanar! has a longer name too ‘Axanar! On Tour And On Time’ which sets it apart from Axanar: The Gathering Storm.

Meanwhile in the long running match between Axanar and AxaMonitor, lots of legal jargon is being thrown around, sometimes one needs a decipher to figure out what people are talking about.

Checking in on ‘The Signal’ and it is closing in on 7,000 views on YouTube and should get there within a couple of days which is great news as it makes its way towards five figures.

People may have noticed that there are some remasters of Potemkin Pictures fan films on YouTube around, but they exist on a different channel, those remasters were done without permission so please ignore them and stick to the films on the Potemkin Pictures channel.

That’s the news and views for this week.

Until next time, be good to each other.
