Star Trek Day is here; 59 years since Star Trek started to air around the world, we have been treated to so many hours of television and then you got the movies to enjoy.

Today Trekzone and MTM proudly showcase some of the fine fan films that were released after Star Trek Day 2024 and there is a nice range of fan films to have a look at.

‘Raiders of the Lost Trek’ was released in December last year, it successfully combined Indiana Jones and Star Trek in the one fan film, we wonder how many people could have come up with such a combination and make it work.

Starfleet Legends Act III came out in September 15, 2024, and saw Captain Pike, Captain Garth (not the Alec Peters one) and Commodore April in action once again in another epic fan film, the fighting was thick and fierce in this one.

‘Night of the Hawk’ is the latest production from Potemkin Pictures and sees the Federation and the Klingons working together to combat an unusual situation, an entity wanting peace and love all around so much that is dangerous to both the Federation and the Klingon Empire.

Star Trek: Genesis was created on a self-imposed limit of 48 hours, it just shows you how motivated people can get when they put a timer on their ambition to release a fan film, they have done well and hopefully they’ll be back with more soon.

Farragut Forward was released to great anticipation in October 2024; it has received 170,000 views which is quite impressive for a fan film since the introduction of the Fan Film Guidelines and Star Trek being back on TV on a regular basis.

‘Can’t Stop’ is getting lots of award’s love at the moment but we cannot forget ‘Sweet Oblivion’, this fan film was released in December 2024 and comes in at just under ten minutes in length.

Destination: Doomsday has a new take on perhaps the most devastating foe in the history of Star Trek, check out the nice range of Starships defending the Federation from the planet consuming foe.

Star Trek: Venture’s latest fan film is titled ‘A Moment’s Peace’, there is also Venture audio fan productions as well.

Jeff Nord released ‘The Hive’ in February 2025, this fan film runs for seven minutes and is of high quality which is what viewers are used to from Jeff Nord’s productions.

‘Flight of the Peagsus’ was made by Spacegate Station and has what is surely the youngest cast in all of the fan films which is good to see as we do need young cast members to move on up the ranks over time and keep the stories coming.

A recent release is Loreley’s third part which is called ‘Erstkontakt’, that means ‘First Contact’ in English for those who are curious about the title.

That wraps up Star Trek Day 2025, Thank you for joining us.
