Welcome to another edition of MTM Wrap, it was a big week of action.
Star Trek Day is always a good day on September 8, some parts of the world are still enjoying it and Paramount+ released a 22-minute special with Jerry O’Connell hosting.
Star Trek Lower Decks opened with two episodes on Paramount+ which was cool to see, the opener involved USS Voyager and brought back several unique characters.
Trekzone and MTM are partnering up again to present the ‘Best of 2023‘ list, all the details are in the link, but it is a nice, easy way to celebrate 2023 on NYE, it is a basic production, there is no big show like the TFFA, no prizes, no fees, just a list that Matt may or may not do a small video about but it will definitely be in print on MTM and Trekzone.
It has just been over two years since Alec Peters and Shawn O’Halloran clashed at Dragon Con, police have finally released their bodycam footage of the aftermath which you can see on Trekzone with guests Shawn and Dean and you can see if it lines up with Alec’s version of events that you can read about here.
Now we look at how various fan films are going at this time.
‘359’ is now 718 views away from reaching 10,000 views so it is picking up around 100 views per week at this present time.
Congratulations to ‘Where Monsters Dwell’ on making it to 3,000 views, we’ll keep an eye on it as it makes its way to 5,000 views and beyond.
‘War Targ’ is now 538 views away from reaching 25,000 views, it is slowly but surely chipping away at the margin as it was 632 views away last week.
‘Daedalus’ is now 265 views away from reaching 30,000 views, it is certainly a popular fan film and it is easy to see why with such great VFX.
That is it for this week, a big week with a little bit of everything happening at once.
Until next time, be good to each other.
