95 days to go until the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are here.

MTM is aware that some folk out there is talking about the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards, good for them, we like what we’re doing, fan films like what we’re doing, and we are going to keep doing what we are doing.

What a big week it was in fan films, two super fan films were released and Axanar’s sidestepping got knocked over in a crunching tackle by CBS and Paramount.

From the fine folks at Euderion -Infinity- comes ‘The Legacy of the Archein’, this is a massive story of a fan film, and we are glad that they have released it, if you love fan films then it is one you should check out.

We got another treat when Loreley’s ‘Monster’ was released, this was a highly anticipated fan film, and it is a must-see fan film fully of story and action, we are pleased that The Legacy of the Archein and Monster have been released in time for consideration for the 2024 Trekzone Fan Film Awards.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of ‘Periphery’, the fan film reached the 10,000-view milestone on YouTube during the week, this one is a great story, it is another one of those all is not what it seems stories that Potemkin Pictures makes.

‘Exiled from Eternity’ is just 43 views away from reaching the 5,000-view milestone on YouTube, if everybody who reads this gives it a watch it should either get it real close or push it over the 5,000-view mark.

Meanwhile, ‘The Icarus Manoeuvre’ was given a C&D overnight, most who follow the Axanar saga are not surprised one bit by this.

Folks, Star Trek does not belong to the people as much as they believe it to be, it belongs to CBS and Paramount, and they are Gods when it comes to what happens to fan films.

Axanar thought they were smart in getting people to make short fan films to fill in the Axanar story, Interlude was made, and it didn’t seem to get the attention of the Eye and the Mountain, so they decided to do it again, get somebody to add on to the Axanar story, Axanar puts it up on their channel and everything is sweet, but CBS and Paramount said not this time.

Take the hit Axanar people and finish Axanar and then move along, do not risk the existence of fan films by trying to make an Axanar Universe to spite CBS and Paramount, you could ruin the enjoyment of fan films for everyone, permanently.

Until next time, be good to each other.
