25 days to go until we present Trekzone and MTM’s Best of 2025 List and there are 216 days to go until The 2026 Trekzone Fan Film Awards take place, it is so very far away but it will come along quite quickly, it always does.
Star Trek: Venture has released a new fan film, it is called ‘In The Aftermath’, the synopsis of the fan film is ‘In the wake of surviving the battle with the Phantom Fleet, Captain Carver takes some much-needed downtime’.
The fan film runs for seven and a half minutes so if you got yourself a spare ten minutes, do check it out, you may just enjoy it and go back to watch the previously made ones.
‘The Kinda Terrible, Really Horrible, Sorta Good Week’ is just 711 views away from reaching 10,000 views, it would be a great Christmas present if it does make the milestone.
One fan film on the Potemkin Pictures YouTube channel that will reach 10,000 sooner rather than later is ‘Hands of Fate’, the Starship Deimos Creative Group production needs just 39 more views to get to the five-figure milestone.
Time Travel: A Star Trek Fan Film is now available to watch, it is an animated fan film with the distortion of a well-worn VHS tape which is something pretty interesting, makes us wonder how we ever got through the days of well-worn tapes.
Farragut 2024 has reached 21,000 YouTube views in under two weeks of it being online; the total is somewhat surprisingly low considering the resources and promotion that has been thrown into it, we rarely see fan films with so much put into it, it will likely experience an upswing the closer we get to Christmas.
Farragut 2024’s run makes us curious to see how Axanar Episode IV and V will perform in its new release schedule of 2026.
That’s everything for this edition, things do get a little quieter in December, so it is a good time to sit back, relax and watch some fan films and see how everything went for the year.
Until next time, be good to each other.
