Today, September 8, 2026, is the day that we’ve made it to 60 years of Star Trek as it started airing in the United States of America, though Canada ended up being ahead of the curve and kicked things off on September 6, 1966.

We use Star Trek Day to take a look at fan films, and we do have a small selection out of the many of them for you to look at.

This is the third year that we’ve done it, it is always fun do to, and we hope to continue into the future, so here are some fan films for you.

Here is the latest fan film from Potemkin Pictures, this one features the crew of the Starship Deimos and remember folks to watch to every second because the foundation of a future storyline can be started at the end of the fan film.

FSFilm released ‘A Lesser Sacrifice’ in August this year and it is good to see that it is in the four-figure range, FSFilm make quality fan films, and it continues to be perplexing why they don’t get a higher view count despite promotional efforts.

‘Jenolan: Commencement Day’ was a surprise from the Farragut team after the big hitting Farragut Forward and Farragut 2024 releases.

This fan film was described as that it ‘dovetails within the events of Farragut 2024 — and referring to Star Trek: The Next Generation “Relics” episode — takes you back to the beginning of a story whose ending you already know.’

‘Relics’ is the classic Star Trek: The Next Generation episode that saw Mr. Scott being rescued from the Jenolan’s transporter buffer by the crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D.

Man At Desk Productions has been working hard this year, they have released a number of fan films as well as audio productions, their latest production ‘Fleet Manoeuvres’ is approaching the 1,000-view milestone and we hope that it gets there soon.

A new fan film is just about to be released too, so keep an eye out for that release.

Earlier this year we saw the tenth chapter of Defiant and if you like animated Star Trek, you’ll find that your needs will be satisfied here, it has been a great story over the ten chapters which had some very good surprises.

The latest video from Adam Schwartz and it is called ‘”The Inner Light” Probe was a Terrible Plan’, and it has been a success with 47,000 views on YouTube, we all do need something like this production especially when having a tough day.
