Monitor Wrap (16/10/18)

October 16 2018

AxaCon got the Axanar world stirring after a period of quietness.

Jonathan Lane of Fan Film Factor is going to be a panel moderator at AxaCon and so he asked his readers for questions to go to Alec, J.G. Hertzler and Gary Graham.

Our question would be ‘After all is said about Alec Peters and the public perception that there is a low possibility of Axanar actually being made, why is Mr Hertzler and Mr Graham staying with the project? What do they see that we aren’t seeing?

Meanwhile AxaMonitor’s FB group got busy with what they would ask, mostly where is the money and where are the promised perks.

This led to The Real Truth About Axanar starting to get busy as they gave their take on the going ons at AxaMonitor’s FB group with Alec believing that Carlos and ‘his gang’ commits fraud.

TRTAA then went on about one vocal member of AxaMonitor’s FB group, his battles online and then went on about his hair and whether or not he has backbone (not cool).

Meanwhile AxaMonitor’s group has changed its banner picture and it is of the Enterprise-E, why is this interesting? Alec Peters got into a legal fight about an Enterprise-E model.

Alec talks about fake Moon landings, AxaMonitor puts up fake Moon landing picture
Alec gets into a legal battle about the Enterprise-E, AxaMonitor has a picture of the Enterprise-E.

So if Alec gets into a long discussion about private parts, will AxaMonitor’s FB group new picture be of private parts? Probably not because that would thrown them off FB for breaching rules.

At the beginning of MTM we mentioned that one group should be taking the high road and not say anything, don’t call people things like idiots or knuckleheads or frauds and don’t go into their personal lives by going on about hair or polo shirts but nobody chooses to do this.

AxaMonitor’s FB group could look very weird if somebody curious looks to them for answers on Axanar but if they go look at TRTAA they’d get the same going ons and the same applies if you do it the other way around.

Just because one group is calling people in the other everything under the sun doesn’t mean the other group will look cooler if they do the exact same thing.

Things in the Axanar world do not have to be personal, the facts on both sides should be enough to have a successful debate and allow people to make informed decisions.

Over at Trekzone, there is a new editorial about CBS keeping a good eye on things and that includes Stage 9 Studios and their Fan Appreciation Weekend.

Lastly the majority of voters are giving Prelude to Axanar a rating of B on our polls whilst the A rating vote has climbed to now sit in second position.

Until next time, be good to each other.

    1. When you brought your AxaCon ticket, was the below message on the purchasing page?

PLEASE NOTE: Due to safety concerns and stalking incidents, Axacon reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone. In addition, there is no recording of any kind, and the staff reserves the right to remove anyone violating this rule with NO REFUND.

You notice how Alec Peters constantly makes outlandish claims about me without a scintilla of evidence and unattributed hearsay, while everything I report about him and Axanar is fully sourced?

    1. It is a lot easier in time and effort for somebody to take aim at posts on a FB group than to go through and pick apart a blog entry/article on a website that has sources that need to be checked and if possible countered.
