Axanar released a new trailer “Axanar is Coming” and it runs for a total of 8 minutes.
The trailer is not really a trailer, the majority of the CGI is scenes that have been shown before in Prelude to Axanar and Robert Meyer Burnett’s videos explaining how the feature length version of Axanar was going to be.
There’s confusion among viewers over what they are seeing, a portion of comments indicate that viewers do not known that Axanar is allowed two 15 minute parts or they are mistaken that ViacomCBS has allowed them to film an entire feature length movie.
It will be interesting to know how much of that footage is copyrighted to Paul Jenkins and how many of the actors giving their praise to various things about Axanar are actually still in the production as there is recasting happening.
Don’t forget with the lawsuit going on between Alec and Paul, certain footage is not allowed to be used and as Alec said there will be reshoots of the footage that was taken in 2019 especially if Paul retains control of the footage.
Surprisingly Fan Film Factor is not trumpeting the release of this video, Jonathan Lane made the video and you’d think he’d be blowing the trumpet for Axanar but he is not, perhaps he is just relaxing somewhere having a Kit Kat and will get around to it later on.
The video is doing well with over 135,000 views and will no doubt boost Axanar’s fundraising and subscription totals after a couple of slow months regarding donations, the last time Axanar raked in over $200 in a week was the time a one thousand dollar donation was made between between September 10 and 17.
While all this was going on, Matt Miller and Carlos Pedraza had a Trekzone Conversation and ironically while they were filming thoughts on the release of the CBS settlement, there was the Jonathan Lane story erupting that got a lot of people talking.
By the time Part 2 was released, there was the release of the trailer so Matt if he chooses to do so, he will have to do some kind of show to fill people in on the latest developments and hope that no further developments happen before the scheduled release happens.
There was a bit of chaos in AxaMonitor last week as the peace towards Jonathan Lane was met by resistance, some thought that Jonathan Lane was coming to AxaMonitor or people were not allowed to criticise him or question his thoughts but the reality was that he isn’t going to AxaMonitor (he is allowed to if he wanted to though) and people can criticise him or question him but they have to do it politely instead of the Slow Lane nickname and all the other nasty stuff.
Work is reportedly continuing on cataloguing all of the Troll Hunters posts to sort out who talked about and why, it is unknown how many people are specifically mentioned and it is also unknown how nice or unpleasant those mentions are.
It will be interesting to see if Axanar does shoot in December, January and February for the production to be and it will be interesting to see if the public responds by throwing cash Axanar’s way.
Until next time, be good to each other.
