While a lot of eyes were on Axanar’s ‘The Gathering Storm’, another fan film quietly entered the world shortly after for our enjoyment on YouTube.

‘The Survivors’ is the latest from Potemkin Pictures, featuring the Deimos and its crew in a nineteen minute and sixteen seconds’ adventure.

It usually takes a lot of people to make a fan film, let’s take a look at the credits for a perfect example of such a case.

The Survivors was Written, Directed and Edited by Randall Landers. VFX was done by Ross Trowbridge, the Phobos Model was done by Kevin Riley.

The Romulan Model was made by David Metlesits, Graphics Animations were by Steve Gallant, the Master Situation Display by Alexander Richardson, Music was done by Dave Stump, Chris Kroznuski, and Tony Lunn.

The Deimos Theme was done by Chris Kroznuski, Sound was done by Randall Landers, Sound sources: TrekCore, Free Sound and Special Thanks are given to Starship Excelsior.

Makeup was done by Blake Andrus, Tina Plunkett and the Entire Cast. Wardrobe was done by Randall Landers and Tuck Stevens. Props & Set Pieces were done by Randall Landers, Fred Lassiter, Carl Marchese, Chris Marcusky, Playmates & Sharper Image.

Without giving too much away of the story, the Deimos is in a situational pickle with a disappointing (for the crew) solution looming on the horizon but then an unexpected arrival brought about a very unexpected solution to their problem.

Don’t forget to watch to the very end as there is a scene that you have to see as it is usually a launch point for a future fan film.
