There are some differences between Prelude to Axanar and Axanar to think about as well as a couple of other things.
Prelude to Axanar’s Director will not be directing Axanar.
Prelude to Axanar was directed by Christian Gossett but he will not be directing Axanar’s two parts, he left and was replaced by Robert Meyer Burnett who in turn left and was replaced by Paul Jenkins.
Christian talked to Trekzone’s Matt Miller about what was happening up to the time he left Axanar behind.
Up to three of Prelude’s six stars won’t be in Axanar
Richard Hatch, Tony Todd and Kate Vernon were in Prelude to Axanar but it is possible all three won’t be in Axanar.
Richard Hatch sadly passed away before Axanar could be filmed.
Tony Todd has let his feelings be known about Axanar and Kate Vernon is a total unknown with even Jonathan Lane unsure when he was talking to Matt Miller late last year.
That leaves Alec Peters, J. G. Hertzler and Gary Graham leading a cast of new characters which could number a half dozen.
Axanar has a different editor
Robert Meyer Burnett edited Prelude to Axanar but he will not be editing Axanar.
Axanar was not called a fan production
In a Kickstarter video, Axanar was referred to as an ‘Independent Star Trek Film‘
Ares Studios is not in California
Ares Studios was in California for Prelude to Axanar and the motion picture plan for Axanar, it is now in Georgia.
Axanar will be filming in California
Despite moving to Georgia, Axanar Productions will be going to California to partly shoot the two parts.
Only a portion of Axanar’s two parts will film in Georgia
Only a portion of Axanar’s two parts will be filmed at Ares Studios.
Axanar will be released in 2020
The late 2018 and early 2019 shooting plan did not come to fruition and instead the current Axanar plan is for filming in October and December for a 2020 release.
Axanar Productions has to Privately Fundraise
Axanar Productions cannot publicly fundraise the money they want to make the two parts.
Axanar Productions aims to raise $150,000 to $200,000
Despite not being able to publicly fundraise, they can privately do so and the price tag for the two parts is $150,000 to $200,000.
The method of fundraising is said to be through a white label Kickstarter.
What makes the challenge difficult is that Fan Films currently struggle to raise over $10,000 on Kickstarter and other donating platforms, a big difference on the pre-lawsuit days when Axanar raked in over a million dollars and Renegades raked in $800,000.
Ares Studios videos are on Axanar’s YouTube Channel
Ares Studios is said to be different to Axanar Productions but Ares Studios logoed videos such as Axanar Confidential are on the Axanar YouTube Channel.
Some wonder whether the videos receiving YouTube Super Chat money and directing people to donate via PayPal or Patreon is public fundraising.
After a period of time, the videos on the Axanar channel are moved to the Ares Studio channel.
Ares Studios have clients lined up
Vance Major and Jonathan Lane both plan on filming their productions at Ares Studios.
AxaMonitor.com and AxaMonitor’s FB groups aren’t the same
AxaMonitor.com is the news only site and the FB group is the discussion location of the website though some believe that the FB group does not give the website a good look particularly when rude names are used.
Axanar fighting has caused lawsuits
There have been either threats of lawsuits or lawsuits started between people who were or are part of Axanar Productions.
Neutral Zone Studios says ‘No’ to Interlude
Axanar Spin off ‘Interlude’ was going to film at Neutral Zone Studios, NZS said ‘No’ reportedly at the request of Vic Mignogna.
Hours later it was revealed that Vic Mignogna was not the one who pushed for Interlude to stay away.
Some think ‘Detractors’ are paid by CBS and former employees were plants
This is probably the most bizzare thing that’s ever been said in all the going ons over the last couple of years but on May 30 2019 one fan wondered if Robert Meyer Burnett was a plant .
Axanar employees did get paid
Workers on Axanar before the lawsuit settlement were given a weekly wage.

The whole “kerfluffle” with interludes and Axanar and neutral Zone studios, pisses me off. Ray Tessi just lost paying customers all because Vic, who has nothing to do with those sets, threw a hissy fit.
So now what happens is Glenn and Dan get more use out of warp 66 studios that they weren’t expecting, and Ray winds up with a “black mark”, because now people will think they need “permission” from Vic to film on the sets.
Had I been Ray, I would have told Vic to “pack sand, because he gets no say” in what I do with my property.

Who on Earth wants to own sets for? They appear to be nothing but trouble for people.

It wasn’t Vic who asked Ray to turn away Jonathan Lane and Alec Peters. As I reported in today’s AxaMonitor Daily, Lisa Hansell made that call before the event at Kingsland this past weekend.
