There was a flareup of the biscuit saga after Alec Peters posted a picture of himself eating a biscuit on the Ares set after a story went around that he ate biscuits on the set of New Voyages a couple of years ago.
Accompanying the picture was the the tagline “When it’s your set, you can eat your biscuit anywhere you want”
As you can imagine, it got a lot of people talking as Alec was quoted as saying “I would never bring food onto a set” when he messaged somebody very impolitely about the New Voyages story and he also repeated the claim on The Real Truth About Axanar.
Perhaps it was a taunt at the ‘haters’ but it was undone by the claim that he would never bring food onto a set.
Interlude was shot at Ares Studios last weekend, by all appearances it went well which was expected because the directors have a reputation of getting fan films done with a minimum of fuss.
Anticipation for Interlude is actually high in fan film circles, don’t let anyone fool you into thinking that haters don’t think it will happen or that they don’t think there is a possibility that it will be good.
One concern about Interlude was/is the feeling that it is too closely aligned with Axanar that it may be breaking some of CBS’s guidelines.
Axanar is expected to get the $60,000 it needs before they go and do another shoot on December 7 and 8, if they receive $1000 per day from now they will get their money in full by December 3 at the latest.
The fundraising has slowed down a bit as it was looking good for completion by November 30.
Ares Studios appears to be taking the lead from Axanar when it comes to promotion for fundraising in perhaps an attempt to make sure that CBS doesn’t send Axanar Productions another Notice of Breach.
Meanwhile the Anas Abdin vs CBS is continuing on, MTM’s thoughts are here and that is all that is needed to be said on here about the topic as there is nothing more to add.
That’s a wrap for this edition of Monitor Wrap, all in all the seas are fairly calm for this old monitor to sail through.
Until next time, be good to each other.
