Interlude’s trailer has been released.
The first thing you’ll notice is that the music is very unusual, it is from another Sci-Fi show and it is unusual sound for a Star Trek fan production but it doesn’t kill off the trailer.
The good news is that while you will see a lot of different shots at a high rate of speed, there’s no annoying flashing between them that you see in the Axanar trailer and you don’t hear a klaxon going off over and over that ruined Axanar’s trailer.
The text in the trailer is a little puzzling, I get the feeling there was supposed to be more text somewhere but it was left out.
There’s a lot of confidence in this production, a well regarded bunch of professionals worked on it and so unlike Axanar it has had few problems aside from the ruined green screen.
For those who don’t know, Interlude starts right where Prelude to Axanar ends, it is not considered a sequel as it is a different format to Prelude yet has the star of Prelude heavily featured in it and of course it takes up where Prelude ended.
Will Interlude do well? That is hard to say because the Star Trek world has changed so much since the last of the heavy hitters were released and fan films are no longer the only way to get a new fix of Star Trek.
We’ll find out how Interlude goes on July 25.
Until next time, be good to each other.
