Only a few days to go

The 2022 Trekzone Fan Film Awards are now just a couple of days away.

To say that I am not nervous would be lying though it is now largely up to Matt Miller to bring it on home.

I’ve been watching the various bits and pieces of preparation that is needed for the awards ceremony with great interest and I am confident that it will go off without a hitch next week.

It is great that Griffith University are along for the ride, I would of loved to have watched the future of Australian Film and TV go through their paces as they make sure that everything hits their marks but I’ll definitely be seeing the end result with everybody else.

Some people will question who won what but I am satisfied with my decision making, it was not easy to decide such things and awards are not awards without somebody thinking that B should of won instead of A or C was better than both etc.

I envy judges who judge multiple award shows etc. because they must be able to handle so much pressure.

Meanwhile Strange New Worlds appears to be satisfying most Star Trek fans, I am glad that ViacomCBS puts the show on one episode at a time because the traditional format beats the binge format every time for first run shows.

It is a nice near hour of entertainment to me, I sit back in my chair and watch it and I feel satisfied at the end of the episode and eager to wait seven days for the next installment.

It will be interesting to see if I will replay episodes in the future, there doesn’t seem to be a need to rewatch TV from the last decade for some reason, maybe it is the cinematic like filming that takes away the need to watch again, it is hard to explain.

So that’s it for now, just got to patiently wait out the days until the awards show is on.

Until next time, be good to each other.
